INTERNATIONAL BOAT SHOW 2007
ASIS exhibited at the 29th
Athens International Boat Show. The show took place
from the 29th of October to the 4th of November 2007.
The annual Trade Show displays a wide array of international
power and sail boats, mainly to the local trade but
also to enthusiastic consumers eager to preview the
Summer 08 ranges.

The traditional commencement ceremony
saw Mr. V Meimarakis, secretary of Naval affairs, open
the show to the waiting public.
Sea Works Ltd, the official ASIS representatives
in Greece displayed a 650 Open, 720 Open, 800 Open and
the new 800 Elite.
Included in the ASIS display was the 720
Open that recently raced in the Athens to Dernah, Libya
rally. This particular ASIS 720 navigated its way successfully
through 1107 sea miles and considering the vessels recent
return it looked in fantastic condition. Takis Koukounaris,
Sea Works Ltd managing partner skippered the vessel
in one single trip and was delighted with the smooth
performance the boat delivered in all conditions. The
attention surrounding the 720 generated over 80 enquiries
with an estimated 15 that may turn into sales. The ASIS
representative at the show was delighted with this initiative
and congratulated the Sea Works team. ASIS believes
that these activities will continue to prove to customers
that quality and performance are critical to the success
of the brand.

During 2006 approximately 2350 Inflatable
boats were sold in Greece. This makes Greece one of
the largest per capita users of Inflatable Boats in
the world. Of this number approximately 177 boats were
sold in the 6-7m range of which 46 were imported and
the balance manufactured in Greece. In the 7-9.9m range
over 250 boats were sold with approximately 100 imported.
ASIS boats boasted a commendable 4% market share (13%
of imported brands) in the first six months of the first
year of the brands launch in Greece. Sea Works Ltd intends
to capitalize on their initial success with increased
awareness, new products and fresh marketing initiatives.
The overall mood was positive at the show
and exhibitors were pleased with the outcome and all
look forward to a good summer 08 season.
